Algebra Assignments
Prop Project
This is an assignment in which I had to, with a partner, construct a movie prop of an object we chose that is proportional to the original object and makes us appear about the same size as a figure that we choose. We then had to write a report with a chart to explain how we accomplished the goal of constructing a massive wristwatch. This gives us a real life use of algebra, and a fun project to complete with our friends. I included this project because it was the most representative of my algebra projects, and the one I spent the most time on.

In this assignment we had to use everything learned over a set of four weeks, and prove that we understood it all by creating an instructional presentation on how to find an equation using two given points on a graph. This was a project that we were required to do to prove that we payed attention in this class instead of messing around. We used the information we had gathered over the course of four four weeks and used it all as a sort of final grade for the unit. I chose this because I couldn't find anything else.
This is an assignment that was given to show our understanding of exponents. Yes I know I screwed it up pretty badly. I did it all the night before. I guess I got what I deserved. It's kind of sad because exponents are easy, but I guess I shouldn't have done it the night before.
This is the project we were required to do for the unit we did on the Pythagorean theorem. We were a given a choice between two different projects, one on the distance between two points and one on the height of the Great Pyramid. I chose the Great Pyramid project. In this project we had to find the height of the Great Pyramid using the Pythagorean theorem. This project was assigned to prove that we actually learned something during the three week unit.
